How To Renew Your Connecticut Vehicle Registration Online
1. Head over eTags.com, select Connecticut from our drop-down menu, choose Renew Registration and click Continue
2. Enter your vehicle information. You will need:
- Your license number
- The last 6 digits of your VIN (vehicle identification number)
3. Confirm that the details of your vehicle are correct. You will see here the year, make, and model of your car/truck/SUV. If you need to make any corrections, click the blue Back button to fix any information. Otherwise, click Next.
4. Enter your contact details. This includes both your email address and mobile phone number. Then, click Next.
5. Fill in the legal owner’s first and last name as it appears on your CT driver’s license or government-issued ID. If the owner is a business, click Company, and fill in the full company name as it appears on legal documents. Then click Next.
6. Enter your Connecticut address. You may be asked to confirm these details if what you’ve entered appears to be different from what the USPS has on file. Look over the information, and if necessary, make any required changes.

7. On your summary page you can review all the details of your order and edit them if necessary. You will also have the opportunity to add another vehicle that also needs its registration renewed. Simply click Add Another Vehicle to renew a second registration. If everything looks good here, you can click Checkout.
8. This is the last step in your online registration renewal process! Take a moment to read our terms and conditions, enter your payment details and click Pay.
And that’s the entire start to finish of applying for your Connecticut registration renewal online. If at any point you need assistance, don’t hesitate to reach out to us – because as always at eTags, we’re here to help!
