Step One.

Step Two.
Enter your license plate number and the last three digits of your VIN (vehicle identification number) and click Next.
Step Three.
Confirm your plate expiration information. Here, you will see the expiration date and a countdown of days until your tags expire. If this is correct, click Yes, This is Correct.
Step Four.
Fill in the registered owner’s name. For an individual, provide the first and last legal name. For a company, enter the full legal business name, then click Next.
Step Five.
Provide your contact information. Please enter a working email address and a mobile phone number. Please note that you have the choice here to click the blue box below to receive text message notifications for order updates and reminders. This is especially helpful for the next time your registration is due for renewal, as we will advise you of the upcoming expiration with plenty of time to renew.
Step Six.
Enter your shipping address. If you’re pressed for time, you have the option here to click the blue box and upgrade to Overnight Shipping for an additional fee. If there’s no rush, leave the blue box empty, and your documents will be sent out via standard shipping and should arrive within 7-10 business days. When you have completed your address details, click Next.
Step Seven.
This is your summary page. Take a moment to review all the details of your order, including:
- Name
- Phone number
- Shipping address
- Vehicle details
You will have the opportunity to edit any information by clicking the adjacent Edit button. You can also add a second vehicle if you have one that needs registration renewal. Simply click Add Another Vehicle and repeat the process with the second vehicle details.
Please note that you can only add a vehicle for the same service. For any other eTags service, please complete this transaction and place a new order.
Once you’ve reviewed this page and have acknowledged the list of fees, click Checkout.
Step Eight.
On your final page, read over our terms and conditions, enter your payment details, and when you’re ready, click Pay. Your California registration renewal order has been placed!
