In this article, we’ll walk you through how to replace your lost or damaged Florida license plate or sticker online.

Before we dive into this guide, it’s important to note that replacement services are only available if your registration is not expiring in the next three months!

How to Order a Florida License Plate and Sticker Replacement Online
Step One.
Visit our homepage, select Florida as your state of residence from our pop-up menu, choose Replace Lost Plate or Sticker from the list of services, then click Continue.
Step Two.
Select your vehicle type and enter your plate number.
Step Three.
Provide the vehicle make and model and click Continue.

Step Four.
Enter the legal first and last name of the vehicle’s registered owner. For a business, enter the full company name. Then click Next.
Step Five.
Choose the type of replacement you need. Your options will be:
- Registration and Decal: this is for a new registration card and sticker.
- License plate and Decal: this is for a new tag, card, and decal.
Then click Next.
Step Six.
Specify the reason for the replacement. The available choices are that your tag has been:
- Lost
- Stolen
- Damaged
- Never received
After selecting your reason, click Next.
Step Seven.
Provide your auto insurance information. You will need your insurance provider’s name as well as your policy number.

Step Eight.
Fill in the address of the registered owner. This is the address on file with the FLHSMV. If you’d like to have your plate/decal shipped to an alternative address, click the blue box below and enter the details of the secondary address here.
You will also be asked to provide your email address and mobile phone number.
After you’ve entered this information, click Next.
Please note that you may be asked to confirm your address if it has been filled in differently from what the USPS has on file. Take a moment to review this and make sure it’s correct.
Step Nine.
This is your summary page. Here you can look over the contact and order details and check that they are accurate.
You also have the option at this point to add another vehicle for the same service. Meaning, to add a second replacement tag/decal for another vehicle. For any other service, please finish this process and start a new order once this one is complete.
Otherwise, if everything looks good, go ahead and click Checkout.
Step Ten.
This is your final step. Select your payment type. You can choose from:
- Credit card
- PayPal
- Affirm
Review our terms and conditions, enter your payment details, and click Pay. And your replacement plate/decal order has been made!
