When it comes to driving, some mistakes can make you look like a novice driver and others could even lead to a disaster.

Nobody is perfect though. While most people accept that slip-ups are unavoidable, no one can argue that certain driving mistakes are definitely unforgivable.

For that reason, here are the 7 biggest and most embarrassing driving mistakes people make. If you made any of the following mistakes, please don’t do it again.

Driving the wrong direction on a one-way street

One of the worst mistakes some drivers make is going the wrong direction on a one-way street.

If someone ever spots you driving the wrong way, even when you were just clueless about your decision, infuriated drivers would think that you did it intentionally, making it increasingly annoying for them.

There is no way to hide that mistake or go unnoticed. People will call you out for your mistake, not to mention that you would be creating more congestion.

Not using your headlights

Headlights are vital features for drivers who need an extra help in certain driving situations, mostly when driving at night.

Not only does not turning your headlights makes you like a negligent driver, but also jeopardizes your safety while on the road.

Once other drivers notice that you are not using your headlights as expected, they may start honking at you or even flashing their brights at you. Be mindful.

Stalling your vehicle at an intersection

Stalling can be dangerous, especially when traffic starts to build up and you are right in front it.

In some cases, when a driver leaves the clutch too fast, acceleration can be disrupted by a sudden, aggressive sensation that keeps the vehicle at a halt.

If this ever happens to you, pray your vehicle restarts right away as other drivers won’t be as sympathetic as you wish they could.

Ignoring where the gas tank is on

Sometimes it happens that you just don’t know which side of the car has the gas tank, especially if you just bought a new car.

But, regardless of what causes you to ignore where gas tank in on, you will feel embarrassed by the look of other drivers who are waiting for their turn.

If you keep staring at your vehicle without knowing where to start, it may be easier to look for another gas station or park your car somewhere else where you can figure things out on your own.

Running out of gas while on the road

This is a mistake that doesn’t frustrate other drivers but, rather, speaks poorly about you as a driver.

If your vehicle runs out of gas while driving, you will end up trudging along the side of the freeway with a jug in hand, which in many cases people will think few thing that you are a novice driver or simply incompetent.

Do you want to be that type of driver?

Missing the parking brake on an incline

Unless you enjoy chasing your car because of your inability to use the parking brake on an incline, you will be the reason while other drivers have a laugh at your expense.

Focus on your driving and you won’t be part of it.

Messing up on parallel parking

Even when you are good at parallel parking, there are some tricky spots that can be really challenging for you regardless of your level of experience.

Parallel parking is an activity that puts you on the spotlight, mostly when other drivers are witnessing your performance.

A little mistake could make you feel like giving up but you can avoid such nightmare with more practice.

Worst case scenario, someone is going to record your parking experience on their phone and make you viral. Just kidding!
