Updated April 2023: eTags.com is expanding its services to the west coast. California vehicle owner’s can now renew their vehicle’s registration through our online renewal engine as an alternative to renewing in person, by mail, or other online options. Residents of the state can renew registrations for cars, trucks, trailers and motorcycles used for either commercial or standard passenger use. As with the convenience provided for our residents in Florida, California residents will be able to renew multiple vehicle registrations at once in one order. Other benefits include:
- A digital copy of the registration certificate available immediately after the order is processed. This copy can be printed and used as temporary proof of having renewed
- Express delivery options allowing residents of California to choose 2-day delivery or next business-day delivery
- Access to the online order status check portal allowing our customers to check the processing and shipping status of their tags
- Comprehensive customer support providing our customers assistance with their registration renewal(s) as needed
As of 2023, California drivers can also replace a lost license plate as well as a lost registration sticker. Title transfers are available at eTags.com too, and duplicate titles in case yours was stolen or got lost. All services are easily accessed online or through your smartphone. Just a few details about your vehicle and contact info so paperwork can be sent by mail and you’re done!

First time I realize after paying through On- line registration fee to DMV that there is a service charge of $30 charged by e – tags. Another disappointment is that they charged separate charges for 2 vehicles paid at the same time . Total of $60 is a not fair.

Thank you for the information about e-tag renewal now servicing California. I have always liked the idea to have a much easier way to renew registration. Especially as opposed to sitting in line at the DMV. I’ll have to look more into e-tags though as I’m not entirely sure how it works. Thank you for the information.
