Online Registration Renewal in California: A How-To

2. Enter in your license plate number and the last three digits of your vehicle identification number (VIN).

3. Confirm that the information you’ve entered is indeed correct.

4. Provide Registered Owner information. For an individual, you will enter in the legal first and last name of the owner is it is written on your government issued ID. For a Company-owned vehicle, you will enter the full name of the Company.

5. The next screen is where you fill in your shipping address. There will also be spaces for provide an email address and phone number for easy communication. If you’re quite pressed for time, you’ll be happy to notice that this is the place where you will be able to opt for overnight shipping for an additional fee.

6. From here you will be taken to your order summary. This is an opportunity to review your contact information including your license plate number, shipping address, email, and phone number.
