Alabama Change of Address Forms
After moving to a new residence or home with a new address in the state of Alabama, it is required residents notify the AL DLD of address change within 30 days. This notification of change of address can be completed by submitting your full, legal name, AL driver’s license or state identification (ID) card number and proof of new address to the Alabama Drivers License Division by mail to the following address:

Completing this process will only change your mailing address on DPS records. You will still need to update your driver’s license or state ID card showing your new address by applying for a duplicate license in person at an AL DPS location.
