New Jersey Change of Address Forms
The NJ MVC allows residents to change their address online, by phone, or in person at their local MVC branch. Note that you cannot change your address by mail.
If you need your new address to be reflected on your driver’s license, registration card, or title certificate, you’ll need to request a duplicate.

If you want to change your address online, visit the NJ MVC Address Change website and provide the following:
- Zip code
- NJ Driver’s License/ ID card number
- Social Security number

In person
Whether you want to change your address in person, go to your local NJ MVC branch and provide proof of identity and residency.
