The DHSMV has plenty of things to worry about and making vehicle title transfers easier for people isn\u2019t one of them. This provides protection for both parties. By filing, sellers will protect themselves from any civil liability and violations if the buyer should get into an accident or park the vehicle illegally somewhere before the title transfer is complete. Once you file this form, the tax collector office will be updated immediately by marking the title of the vehicle or vessel in the system as sold.
