Born in New York and raised in Bueno Aires, Argentina, Freddy Fabris is a US-based photographer of 16+ years who has provided professional photography services to numerous high-profile clients in the advertising industry. His work involves shooting cars, people, and conceptual campaigns throughout North America<\/a> and has gained notoriety due to its’ distinctive character.<\/p>\n

Fabris had always possessed the desire to use his artistic skills to pay homage to the famous artists of the Renaissance period. However, he could never figure out the best way to do so until a visit to the Midwest, during which he serendipitously stumbled into an auto mechanic shop. This chance encounter inspired Fabris to curate hilarious photographs of auto mechanics recreating famous Renaissance paintings<\/strong>. While this may sound like a strange concept, the clever portraits speak for themselves.<\/p>\n

In an interview with the Huffpost<\/a>, Fabris gave insight into his creative thought process:<\/p>\n

Translating painting into photography was a challenge I looked forward to. I wanted to respect the look and feel of the originals, but needed to come up with a conceptual twist that would create a new layer to the original.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

While Fabris certainly felt that the project was a challenge in spite of his established skills and creativity as a photographer, most would agree that the resulting images are spectacular.
