If you happen to be an Italian sports car fan, then you might remember the first version of the Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale from the 1960\u2019s. It was an exclusive event, this limited edition ride, with only eighteen (18) pieces ever making their way into eager Italian hands from the factory. And then Alfa Romeo pressed pause on the model, manufacturing no more of these babies\u2026until now.<\/p>\n

Just recently, at Monterey Car Week, the 33 Stradale made its comeback for the first time in roughly sixty years, give or take a few.\u00a0 We imagine that it was a pretty impressive introduction to the United States; only thirty three (33) cars were made available worldwide, (they do love that number), and it seems that every single one of them was spoken for immediately following the reveal.<\/p>\n

So, what makes the 33 Stradale so extraordinary?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Let\u2019s start by saying that this luxury vehicle is perhaps a nod to classic design, but with some modern flair. The new Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale<\/a> understandable pays homage to its 1960s predecessor, which was celebrated for its timeless elegance and innovative engineering. This new iteration stays true to its roots, maintaining a sleek, aerodynamic shape that echoes the original\u2019s racing spirit. However, it\u2019s not just a reproduction; the new 33 Stradale boasts state-of-the-art technology and luxury, merging classic aesthetics with contemporary advancements.<\/p>\n

\"The<\/p>\n

What about the craftsmanship and performance of the 33 Stradale?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hand-built by the folks at Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera in Italy, under the hood, the 33 Stradale is powered by a twin-turbo 3.0-liter V-6 and the power of 620 horses. This means an acceleration of 0-60 MPH in 3 seconds, and a mind boggling top speed of 207 MPH. 207!<\/p>\n

Won\u2019t that do a bit of gas guzzling?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Probably. But with great power comes great\u2026amounts of fuel?! It\u2019s to be expected \u2013 no one looking at the 33 Stradale is in the market for a Prius, right? But if you\u2019re the type of car buyer who\u2019s got their eyes trained the electric vehicles only, Alfa Romeo has got your back. It seems that they are also offering the 33 Stradale in an electric version. And you don\u2019t lose much in terms of high performance \u2013 the EV variant promises a 750 horsepower and a driving range of 240 miles per battery charge. With this car\u2019s roots resting snugly in the world of Formula 1 racing, it\u2019s no surprise that it aims to hold onto its racing heritage while also heeding today\u2019s demand of electric power. Best of both worlds, eh?<\/p>\n

\"Interior<\/p>\n

What about the inside of the 33 Stradale?<\/strong><\/p>\n

There isn\u2019t all that much info about the interior of this super car yet. Exclusivity, and all that\u2026 However, here\u2019s what we\u2019ve discovered so far. The design looks luxe-sporty, cockpit-like. Metal furnishings on the console and a hidden touchscreen. The goal of the designers appears to make this car about the drive rather than about infotainment, tech, and noticeable bells and whistles. Some say it\u2019s a nod to the analog days, when cars were about driving, not texting or taking meetings from the driver\u2019s seat. So while we assume the 33 Stradale has every bit as much connectivity and convenience of all the other Alfa Romeo models, this one is keeping a keen eye on the road.<\/p>\n
