First, you\u2019ll need to be sure to have the following documents on hand and ready to go:<\/p>\n

  1. The original certificate of title. If you\u2019ve lost your title, if the paper has been damaged, or if it bears cross-outs or corrections, you will need to apply for a replacement title before going ahead with the transfer.   2. Bill of sale. This should have the names of the seller and buyer, along with the make, model, year, and VIN of the vehicle. It should also include the sale date and selling price.<\/li>\n
