Chevrolet,<\/a> Chrysler, Ferrari, Hyundai, Jeep, Land Rover, Lotus, Lucid, Mercedes, Mini, Nissan, Polestar, Porsche, Ram, Volkswagen, and Volvo all have shiny, new models slated to be released in 2025.<\/p>\n2.<\/strong> This one is quite a welcome prediction we think: it looks like the cost of purchasing a new vehicle is set to decrease! For most automotive consumers, the price of a car has seemed to steadily rise and stay at much higher rates than is comfortable.\u00a0 But it looks like manufacturers will be easing up on the sticker shock over the next twelve months.<\/p>\nWord on the street is that we can expect a slow but steady drop in price over the course of the year.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The numbers are meant to be starting somewhere around 3% and possibly peak at upwards of a 5% difference\u00a0 And while this may not seem like a huge number, when you consider that 3% of $40k is a savings of $1,200, that can, in turn lower a monthly payment by about $100, let\u2019s say.\u00a0 Which is not insignificant.<\/p>\n
But in addition to dropping costs, there also seems to be an upturn in incentives that will be offered to car buyers. Bonuses and perks such as higher cash rebates, low interest or zero percent financing, service perks, equipment upgrades, and lease deals should become more readily available to the consumer in 2025.<\/p>\n
3.<\/strong> The majority of new cars already come with some sort of AI features in them already. But over the next year, folks can expect to see a rise in the technology and efficiency of autonomous driving features. Referred to as Level 2 Autonomy (semi-automated) cars, these vehicles come equipped with the ability to control many key functions.<\/p>\nActions such as steering, accelerating, braking \u2013 while still requiring the attention and caution of a driver \u2013 are set to be managed by Level 2. Advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) include the ability to manage adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, automated parking, and traffic assistance.<\/p>\n
While this level 2 is not what you\u2019d call autopilot, per se, it is a considerable amount of assistance that will become very close to being the baseline standard of all new vehicles released over 2025.<\/p>\n
4.<\/strong> For folks looking to purchase a used car, the forecast does not look overly friendly. Prices on used vehicles are not set to decrease any time soon, as dealerships simply do not have the stock they once had. Because pre-owned cars are usually the result of a vehicle that has completed its lease with a previous owner, and the fact that leases dropped significantly in 2021 and 2022, (supply chain disruptions, anyone?) dealers have less inventory available for resell.<\/p>\nThat said, there does look to be another option for people with a stricter budget when it comes to car shopping.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

5.<\/strong> Smaller vehicles – compact cars and SUV\u2019s – should be experiencing an uptick this year. 2025 is expected to roll out more cost-friendly options for consumers, presenting compact cars around the $30k price point.<\/p>\nMeaning, even if your dream car is a bit over budget, you could potentially still acquire it: by shrinking your car size, you ostensibly shrink the price tag as well. By opting for a smaller version of the make or model (when available) that you want, it looks like the new year will have more to choose from.<\/p>\n
And these, folks, are the top trends circling the automotive world for the year 2025.<\/h2>\n
