Hello and welcome to today\u2019s superfun list here on our eTags blog!\u00a0 List, you say?\u00a0 We know, we know\u2026lists are just <\/em>as exciting for us!\u00a0 Which is why we like to share them with you from time to time.\u00a0 And not just any old list, but a list of the latest car gadgets that have proven popular over the last year. (2024, in case you were wondering.)<\/p>\n

It’s true that many new vehicles come readily equipped with all sorts of newfangled bits and bobs, every sort of knick-knack, tool, device, contraption\u2026.you name it. But what about the stuff the manufacturers forgot? Tell us which new car comes with a lip balm holder, eh?!<\/p>\n

And have you ever bought a new ride that knows how to vacuum itself?\u00a0 We haven\u2019t either.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

And what about the older model cars and trucks that are still knocking around with sound engines and sturdy bodies, huh.\u00a0 We can\u2019t discount the folks who are looking for just the right novelty to upgrade their slightly more vintage ride that might need a little umph.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

So because we love to help in any way we can, we\u2019ve compiled a series of those gizmos that made it into the top most-loved doodads in the automotive world.\u00a0 And, of course, we\u2019ve made a List. But because we\u2019re fans of equal opportunity Everything, this list is in no particular order.\u00a0 No playing favorites here. Right, here we go!<\/p>\n

1. The Emergency Escape Tool.<\/strong> This probably needs no explanation, but in case you\u2019ve not heard of this life-saving gismo, it can both break glass and cut through seatbelt fabric. Meaning, as long as this tool is accessible (many come with convenient visor straps) you are never trapped inside your vehicle.<\/p>\n

2. The Portable Vacuum. <\/strong>Because crumbs and hairballs, fur, and confetti are never limited to just your home or office, these tiny, USB-charged, (sometimes cordless), handheld vacuums are ridiculously handy. Get it, handy\u2026?! So next time you can skip the full car detail at the carwash, and keep your vehicle clean and tidy as you please. \"Car<\/p>\n

3. The WIFI Router.<\/strong> What? WiFi, in a car? Yes, indeed.\u00a0 This gadget can work in one of two ways: a) by tapping into your car\u2019s existing internet connection, and b) by using your cell phone as a mobile hotspot. Either way, a car router will allow the whole vehicle to become a connected hub where any passenger can sign on and enjoy endless scrolling.<\/p>\n

4. The GPS Tracker.<\/strong> And no, we don\u2019t mean the map app on your phone that helps you get to the airport or to the next state. These trackers (like the ones at www.tile.com<\/a>) are the sort that are meant for the vehicle itself. So that if you exit the grocery store one afternoon and find that your SUV is no longer where you left it in the parking lot, there is hope.<\/p>\n

You\u2019ve got a much better chance at finding your vehicle with a GPS tracker than by just relying on the local authorities.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

5. The Windshield Sun Shade.<\/strong> Ever try and touch your steering wheel after your car\u2019s been sitting outside all summer afternoon? Yes, ouch is exactly the word we were looking for. These handy shades are light, foldable, and protect not only your hands, but also the whole dash from overheating. \"Car<\/p>\n

6. The Heated Steering Wheel Cover.<\/strong> Because it aint just summer that can have you flinching when your hands hit the wheel. These warmers (both the basic furry ones and the electric ones) can help protect your palms from those frosty, below-zero mornings.<\/p>\n

7. The Portable Jump Starter.<\/strong> Rather than waiting for roadside assistance to zap your battery to life, this little device can bring your vehicle back into working mode in no time. And in case you need a charge for your phone, this gadget does that too!<\/p>\n

8. The Trunk Organizer.<\/strong> You know what they say: tidy house=tidy mind.\u00a0 Well, this probably is true for your car too.\u00a0 These neat helpers are collapsible and adjustable, meaning they can accommodate pretty much whatever your organizational needs may be. Especially if your trunk tends toward this: \"Messy<\/p>\n

9. The Handheld Espresso Machine.<\/strong> We\u2019re not kidding. For the times you just don\u2019t have\u2026well…time. You can opt for this adorable mechanism that allows you to brew a Nespresso pod on the go. Because we know what folks can be like without their morning coffee\u2026<\/p>\n

10. The Cordless Tire Inflator.<\/strong> Because if you\u2019ve ever been stuck with a flat tire without a gas station in sight, you know just how useful it would be to be packing one of these contraptions in your trunk. Some models come with a built-in light for nighttime, and can conveniently be charged in your car\u2019s power outlet.<\/p>\n

11. The Lip Balm Holder.<\/strong> Yes, it\u2019s hard to believe this is a thing, but it IS. And truthfully, do you remember the last time you went digging for your lip balm on a windy winter\u2019s day and couldn\u2019t find it? Yes. We know how frustrating that is. And so do the makers of this handy-dandy holder. Never get stuck with dry smackers again!<\/p>\n

12. The Registration and Insurance Holder. <\/strong>So that no matter what state your glove compartment is in, should you need to access these important documents, you can do so quickly and easily. Because no one wants to go excavating through stacks of junk when they really need access to these docs ASAP. \"Document<\/p>\n
