The right most lanes are meant for steady driving close to posted speeds. The left most lanes are often meant as passing lanes for cars going a little faster. If you prefer driving just under the speed limit, stay to the right. If you feel comfortable driving at or just above the speed limit keep to the left. But avoid changing lanes often as it can be more dangerous to do so on highways both because of the increased speeds and the increased number of vehicles on the road.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Wear your seatbelt. They may be uncomfortable to wear across your chest and abdomen but the benefit in their use cannot be overstated. No matter how good of a driver you are and how many of the above safety tips you adhere to, you cannot control other drivers or unforeseen circumstances.
