Founded in 1998, Keep Kids Alive Drive 25 (KKAD25) is on a mission \u201c<\/span>to make the streets safer for all who walk, cycle, play, drive, and ride<\/span><\/i>\u201d. That’s a mission that anyone can agree with and support but it takes more than a node of approval to make it happen. <\/p>\n

As stated on the foundation\u2019s <\/span>website<\/span><\/a>, they live their mission using a 2-pronged approach;<\/span><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Creating campaigns to educate motorists, passengers, pedestrians, and cyclists to always practice behaviors that keep everyone safe on, and along roadways.<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Supporting families who experienced the death of a loved one due to a traffic accident through Live Forward! – bringing good into the world in their honor and memory.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    As a charitable organization, the primary source of funding for KKAD25 includes donations from community members and corporate donors, and funds raised from public awareness events like the <\/span>Run to Remember<\/span> trail run up Pikes Peak in Colorado. Since 2006, the RTR event has been held once every year \u201c<\/span>in honor of over 100 loved ones whose families have connected with the mission due to a traffic-related death<\/span><\/i>\u201d. The 2016 edition will be held\u00a0on the 20<\/strong><\/span>th<\/strong> of August<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    The ultimate goal of Keep Kids Alive Drive 25 is to help put an end to death and injuries caused by unsafe driving behaviors<\/a> by encouraging and actively engaging citizens in a common commitment to create safer streets for the benefit of all. KKAD25 seeks to promote the habit of developing safe driving behaviors among drivers.
